How Your Portrait Is Made

Upload a clear photograph of the home. Additional reference photos can be included when certain architectural details aren’t visible in the main image.
3 — I illustrate your home
Your portrait is individually drawn and colored in the Home Illustrated style, focusing on the details that make the home recognizable.
4 — Review your artwork
You’ll receive a proof before final delivery or production.
5 — Your portrait comes home
Receive your high-resolution digital artwork, professionally printed portrait, or framed piece ready to display.

Make It Yours
Your photograph is the reference, not the limitation.
Cars can disappear. Trash bins don’t have to become permanent residents. Landscaping can be simplified, and small distractions can be removed so the illustration focuses on the home you actually remember.
If there’s something you’d like changed, added, removed, or emphasized, just let me know when you order.
Simple adjustments are part of the illustration process. More extensive additions or unusually detailed requests may require an additional fee.

Turnaround
Please allow approximately 7–14 days for your custom illustration. Printed and framed orders require additional production and shipping time. If you need your portrait by a specific date, contact me before ordering to confirm availability.
What kind of photo should I send?
A clear photo showing the home from the angle you’d like illustrated works best. You can include additional photos if they help show details that aren’t visible in the main image.
Can you remove things from the photo?
Yes. Cars, trash bins, signs, and other temporary distractions can usually be removed. More extensive changes or additions may require an additional fee.
Can I request changes?
Yes. You’ll receive a proof before final delivery or production.
Will my commissioned home be sold as a print?
No. Commissioned home portraits are created specifically for you and are not reproduced for sale as part of Home Illustrated’s print collections.
